Meet Dolores, a lively 5-month-old pup who's bursting with personality and eager to find her forever family! She's an energetic and playful social butterfly who sometimes forgets her own strength. Because she can get a little jumpy when she's excited, she would do best with older children. If you have other dogs at home, they should be patient and understanding, ready to help her learn good play manners, as she enjoys spirited games but is a quick learner. Dolores has also shown herself to be a cat enthusiast, quickly learning after a few interactions that the felines are indeed the bosses of the house.
When she's not busy making friends, Dolores is making excellent progress with her training. She walks beautifully on a leash, is very motivated by treats, and is mostly house-trained, with only occasional nighttime accidents. This resilient girl is truly thriving after making a wonderful recovery from heart surgery this past May. To keep her on this amazing path, she simply needs an adopter who is comfortable with her ongoing veterinary cardiologist follow-ups. With her affectionate nature and joyful spirit, Dolores is sure to bring loads of laughter and unwavering loyalty to her future home.
Ideal Home
Dolores would do best in a home with older children. She also does well with cats and would thrive with patient, canine teachers to help her learn good play boundaries with other dogs.
