Sweet Potato is a 57 lb, approximately 6-year-old GSD/Anatolian Shepherd mix who believes that personal space is optional and that your lap is her rightful place. She's the ultimate cuddle bug, a fluffy teddy bear who brings a sense of calm and comfort. Sweet Potato is not one for chaos; she's simply looking to be close to her people and soak up all the love. She's an easygoing, low-energy lady who knows when it's time for a walk, some sunshine, or a cozy couch cuddle. With excellent house manners, she walks well on a leash and carries herself with politeness and grace.
Ideal Home
Sweet Potato would thrive in a home that appreciates her desire to be close and loves a good snuggle. She has shown great gentleness and sweetness with children of all ages, making her a potentially wonderful addition to a family.
Ongoing Health
As a rescue, her exact breed and age cannot be guaranteed. Her adoption fee includes all vetting, which covers DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Sweet Potato has demonstrated wonderful house manners and walks easily on a leash. She is very dog-friendly and gets along well with dogs who are calm and easygoing, though she will offer a gentle correction to overly pushy playmates. She has also been successfully introduced to a resident cat and was respectful. She does not rely on other dogs for confidence and is happy to simply be near her people.
