Velvet

Velvet is a happy, snuggly, 1.5-year-old, 57-pound Lab Mix who is ready for her next big adventure! She is a lover girl who adores attention and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Velvet is a loyal and affectionate pup who enjoys cuddling on the couch, going for long walks, and sunbathing in the backyard with her favorite Kong toy. She also loves car rides and exploring new places like Home Depot! Velvet gets along well with other dogs, but she does best with slow introductions. She would prefer a home with older children (15+) who understand her playful energy and no cats. Velvet has mild separation anxiety but is generally eager to please. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, vaccinations, and microchip.

Ideal Home

Velvet would thrive in a home with a fun and adventurous family who can keep up with her active lifestyle. She would do well as a solo dog or with another playful dog who doesn't mind her exuberance. She needs a home with older children (15+) and no cats.

Ongoing Health

Velvet has no special health concerns. She has already been spayed.

Training & Support

Velvet is house-trained and working on crate and leash training. She can pull a bit on the leash when she first starts walking but settles in nicely. She is a pro at catching treats and aims to please.
