Meet Gertie, a sweet senior lady who embodies the spirit of the ultimate hostess! She absolutely adores people and greets everyone she meets like they're the most important person in the world. Whether you're having friends over or heading out for an adventure, Gertie is always ready to make new friends and collect all the pets and cuddles she can get. She's a big fan of house guests and has been known to snuggle up and spoon them to sleep on the bed! Gertie loves carrying around her favorite stuffed toys, proudly prancing through the house hoping for praise. She'll even bring you a sock or shoe to show off, always gentle and never destructive. Her happy place is surrounded by people who adore her as much as she adores them. She's wonderful with children and has impeccable manners, keeping "four on the floor" and taking treats with the gentlest touch.
Ideal Home
Gertie would thrive in a home with plenty of love and visitors but a lower activity level. Due to her arthritis, she prefers short walks and leisurely potty breaks in the yard. A home without cats or other small animals is recommended due to her prey drive.
Ongoing Health
Gertie is managing arthritis, and her medications are working well. Her recent vet visit showed excellent news with fantastic bloodwork.
Training & Support
Gertie is fully house-trained and has impeccable manners, taking treats gently and keeping "four on the floor." She gets along nicely with calmer dogs but would do best with companions who respect her slower pace.
