Scarlet is a sweet, gentle, and playful six-year-old Husky with a soft spirit and a heart that warms up quickly to both people and other dogs. She weighs 44 pounds and is ready to begin the next chapter of her life. She has been raised outdoors her entire life, so living inside a home will be a brand-new experience for her. Because of that, she’ll need patience and time to adjust to things most dogs already know—like walking on hard floors. Right now, she tends to lie down when she’s unsure of the surface, but with encouragement, she showed improvement within minutes. Her current owners say she will let you know when she needs to go outside for potty breaks, so with a little consistency, she has great potential to settle into a home routine. Scarlet is extremely sweet and very loving. She is great around kids as well. She rides beautifully in the car, is cooperative at the vet, and enjoys meeting new people. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs. When a cat hissed and swatted at her, she gave a small growl out of surprise but quickly calmed down and went right back to ignoring the cat. This girl has so much love to give and is ready for someone who can help her learn what indoor life is all about—soft beds, cozy floors, and the comfort of being part of a family.
Ideal Home
Scarlet would thrive in a home that can provide patience and time for her to adjust to indoor living. She is great with kids and other dogs, and while she seems uninterested in cats, a home environment that can manage introductions slowly would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Scarlet is vaccinated, spayed, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Scarlet will need consistent guidance to learn indoor routines, especially potty training. She may need encouragement to get used to new surfaces like hard floors.
