Roxy is a gorgeous, sweet 48 lb girl with legs as long as a gazelle's! She's approximately 2 years old and was found in a cemetery with many other dogs, where she had to fend for herself. Despite her tough beginnings, Roxy is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle next to her human. She also adores other dogs, both big and small, and enjoys playtime and gentle interactions with farm animals. Roxy is a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, a true shadow.
Ideal Home
Roxy would thrive in a home with at least one other dog to play with and tire herself out. A medium-active household that can provide regular playtime, exercise, and training would be perfect for this almost perfect girl.
Ongoing Health
Roxy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and has received a de-wormer. She is heartworm positive and has completed a 30-day course of treatment. She will need to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward. She will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian before transport.
Training & Support
Roxy is crate trained but prefers not to be crated. She is quiet and settles well when left alone. A notable trait is that she is an escape artist who loves to explore, especially the woods. While she comes back immediately when called, her adventurous spirit means secure fencing or supervision during outdoor exploration is recommended.

Transporation
Roxy is currently in South Texas. Transport is available to the Central US and the East Coast every 2-3 weeks. Specific drop-off locations include: Albany, NY; Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT; Nashua, NH; Willington, CT, Stamford, CT, and Dayville, CT; Steubenville, OH, Cincinnati, OH, and Grove City, OH; Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ; Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA.
