Sombrero

Hi there, I'm Sombrero, but my friends call me Sammie! I'm a 2-year-old, 44-pound Heeler mix who's got the perfect blend of energy, smarts, and snuggles. I'm house-trained and not a fan of crates. My favorite things include toys, bones, and pup cups – I could eat them by the dozen! I'm a champion snuggler with a PhD in giving excellent kisses. When I'm not rearranging blankets or snoring with my tongue out, I'm practicing my innocent "I didn't do it" face. I'm great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I do my best to be a gentleman, though sometimes my spunky Heeler energy shows. I'm working on my "lay down," "back up," and leash-pulling skills – progress, not perfection, right? Loud noises like vacuums and lawnmowers aren't my jam, but I'm happy to chill outside or in another room while the chaos happens. It takes me a little time to get comfortable in new surroundings, but once I know I'm safe, I'll be your loyal shadow with a goofy grin and a wagging tail. I'm looking for a patient, playful person ready for a lifetime of love (and pup cups)!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for someone patient and playful who is ready for a lifetime of love. I'm not a fan of crates and prefer not to be crated. Loud noises like vacuums and lawnmowers can be startling, so I'd do best in a home where those can be managed or I can be given space.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I'm house-trained. I'm learning "lay down," "back up," and how not to pull on the leash. While I'm good with other dogs, my Heeler energy can sometimes show, so I'm working on channeling that appropriately.
