Gemma is a brave and resilient soul who has overcome a significant health challenge. She was found with a TVT tumor but fought hard and is now cancer-free, with only a small scar as a testament to her strength. She's ready for a loving home where she can enjoy comfort and affection. Gemma is moderately active, enjoying strolls and sunbathing. She gets along well with other dogs, both male and female, often taking on a confident role in their interactions. She's sweet, steady, and offers quiet affection to those she trusts.

Ongoing Health

Gemma is cancer-free. She will need a simple cytology swab every 6 months for 2 years. TVT rarely returns, and many survivors live long, happy lives.

Training & Support

No specific training needs are mentioned, but as with any dog, consistency and positive reinforcement will help her settle in.

Transporation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada by matching approved adopters with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. During summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
