Meet Axel Rose, a charming Basenji/Terrier Mix weighing in at 26lbs with an estimated birthday of April 5, 2024. Axel is on the lookout for a loyal sidekick with a big personality and an even bigger heart! He's the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. This friendly boy loves other dogs of all sizes and enjoys making new canine friends wherever he goes. Axel has a unique way of introducing himself, using his voice to let you know he'd love some attention. Once you say hello, his barks quickly turn into tail wags and affection. He simply wants to be noticed and loved. Axel is potty trained and does well inside the home, enjoying quiet time on the couch watching the world go by. He also loves energetic zoomies in the backyard and exploring outdoors. Axel's story began when he was discovered abandoned inside an empty apartment. Thankfully, a compassionate foster stepped up and gave him a second chance at life. Despite his past, Axel remains incredibly loving, trusting, and ready to find a family who will cherish him forever. We don't yet know how Axel feels about cats, but he can be kitty-tested for interested adopters. Transportation

Axel is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations of transported dogs may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
