Scout is a sweet, playful, and affectionate male Rat Terrier, approximately 3-4 years old and weighing around 14 lbs. He's bursting with personality and loves to run, play, and snuggle up with his people. Scout is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, children, men, and women, making him a great fit for many families. He was rescued after a frightening encounter with larger dogs, but thankfully, he only sustained minor scratches and showed incredible resilience and a loving spirit. Now, Scout is healthy, safe, and eager to start a new chapter in a loving forever home.

Training & Support
It's important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may have fears or anxieties due to past experiences. Patience, understanding, and a consistent routine are crucial to help Scout build trust and feel secure. Please be aware that he may not be house-trained.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Submit photos/videos of your home to ensure a safe environment for your future furry friend.
- If there's a match, we'll schedule a call or video chat for a virtual home tour.
- 1-2 references will be contacted.
- Upon approval, an adoption contract will be signed, and the adoption fee will be collected upon your pet's arrival. This fee helps cover veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping, and more.
Transporation
Scout is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available.
- Scheduled trips occur 3-4 times a year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip.
- A contracted transport company from Montana will collect adopted pets in Mexico.
- All necessary legal documents, including a transport contract and USDA Health Certificate, will be provided.
- For US adoptions, pets will be escorted across the border into Texas.
- Real-time updates will be provided through a private Facebook Messenger group.
- A transport fee of $400 USD covers the cost from Mexico to your doorstep.
