Meet Annie! This teeny tiny chihuahua mix puppy is sure to win your heart! Her dad is a short-haired small chihuahua, and her mama is a longer-haired bigger chihuahua mix. Annie was surrendered to us as a newborn, the runt of the litter, and wasn't thriving. We tube-fed her around the clock until she was strong enough to suckle and take a bottle. She was definitely a fighter! Now 9 weeks old, Annie is healthy and strong, having been health checked, dewormed, given flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, probiotics, spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She is loving, playful, and sweet! Annie has been potty pad trained since she was 4 weeks old and is crate trained (in an x-pen), sleeping through the night and going potty where she's supposed to. When out, she needs frequent potty breaks to avoid accidents. She loves playing with foster kitties and gets along great with them.
Ideal Home
We are looking for a home for Annie within approximately 25 miles of Goodyear for home checks. A home with another small, friendly dog is essential for companionship. Please do not apply if you are unsure of your current dog's temperament. Annie is very small and fragile, so her safety is our top priority. Homes with outgoing, friendly, and non-skittish or territorial dogs are preferred. Priority will be given to homes with young pups to match Annie's energy. No large dogs due to her size. Annie needs a home where she will receive lots of love and attention; a person who works from home would be ideal. While she is fine in her x-pen with kitties for company, she shouldn't spend most of her day crated. An adopter must understand her size and stay with her 100% of the time when she is outside for potty breaks, as she is vulnerable to predators and can slip through fence gaps. A safe and secure backyard with no fence or gate gaps is required. Apartment living might be considered if pet agreements can be verified.
Ongoing Health
Annie has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She has been health checked, dewormed, and given flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, as well as probiotics.
Training & Support
Annie is potty pad trained and crate trained, sleeping through the night. She needs frequent potty breaks when out and supervised outside time due to her size.
