Meet Angus: Your Future Gentle (and Slightly Chaotic) Giant!

Angus is a 6-month-old, 60+ lb Bullmastiff mix who was found wandering near a creek and brought to the Hico Animal Shelter. He's a big, goofy puppy who is still learning his strength and exploring the world with his mouth. He is eager to play with other dogs and loves going for rides, though he can be a bit of a co-pilot disruptor without proper restraints. He is already doggie-door trained and is working on his leash manners, which currently involve a lot of enthusiastic pulling and chewing. Angus is healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home.

Ideal Home

Angus would do best in an active household with older children, a well-fenced yard, and plenty of time for play, training, and adventures. He is too energetic for feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Angus is healthy and has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is up-to-date on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. He is heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Angus is still learning his leash manners and needs continued work on house training in a new environment. He also needs to learn to manage his strength and enthusiasm when playing with others. He requires proper restraint during car rides.
