Charlie

Charlie is an 8-year-old, 9-pound Pom-Chi mix who is ready to find his forever home. He came to us after a few short stays with different owners, suggesting he may have experienced neglect in his past. Despite this, Charlie loves being around people. However, he can be a bit sensitive and may bite if he feels uncomfortable, especially around his resources. He's looking for a patient and understanding family to show him the ropes. Charlie enjoys the company of female dogs but isn't as keen on male dogs. He also seems to prefer female humans. He has an enlarged aorta, and while his prognosis is unknown, he's still full of life and loves to chase deer!

Ideal Home

Charlie would do best in a quiet home without young children. He thrives with female dogs and prefers female humans.

Ongoing Health

Charlie has an enlarged aorta. His long-term prognosis is unknown, but he is currently showing no signs of slowing down. All of our pets have been spayed/neutered and have received rabies and DA2PP vaccines.

Training & Support

Charlie has some resource aggression and may bite if he gets uncomfortable. He would benefit from a patient owner who can help him build confidence and manage his resource guarding.
