Say hello to Lola, a beautiful shih tzu mix who weighs around 12 pounds and is estimated to be 1-2 years old. She came to us as a transfer from another shelter, and while life may have thrown her a few curveballs, this sweet little lady is ready for a fresh start. When Lola first arrived, she was sporting a pretty impressive collection of mats and tangles. After a much-deserved spa day with a groomer, Lola is looking and feeling fabulous. Underneath all that shaggy fur was an absolutely adorable little dog just waiting to shine. Lola will need regular professional grooming every few months. Lola is a quiet, gentle soul who finds the shelter environment a bit overwhelming. She can be very timid and shy when meeting new people and experiencing new surroundings. But behind those cautious eyes is a sweet little girl who simply needs time, patience, and kindness to feel safe. We believe that once Lola settles into a loving home and learns that she can finally relax, she'll begin to blossom. Watching a shy dog gain confidence is one of life's greatest rewards, and we think Lola has so much love waiting to share with the lucky family who gives her that chance.
