About Miranda

Miranda is an approximately 1 year and 9-month-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix, weighing about 46 pounds. She's a wonderfully affectionate girl with a protective streak and a lot of energy, always keen to stay aware of her surroundings. Miranda can be a little reserved when first meeting new people or in new situations, but once she's comfortable, she forms strong bonds and loves to be with her people. She was rescued after being found wandering the streets of Houston and was cared for by some kind workers and a food vendor before being brought to safety. Now, Miranda is ready for a loving home where she can experience the stability and companionship she truly deserves.

Ideal Home

Miranda would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, where families enjoy outdoor activities. She would do best with a family that understands the needs of rescued street animals and has experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and a high tolerance for rescued puppies are a must.

Ongoing Health

Miranda has undergone spay/neuter, DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. She has also been dewormed, tested for heartworm, and has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Miranda is crate trained and walks well on a leash. While she is generally well-behaved, she may bark if she senses something is wrong or feels threatened. She is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this as part of her rehabilitation.
