Spike here! They say I have a "manly" name, and I guess I am strong like a bull! But really, I'm a total goofball. I'm smart, silly, playful, and so happy to be alive. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas and have been getting my heartworm treatment and enjoying life with my new friends, but now I'm dreaming of having a family of my own! I'm good with other dogs, but I can be a dominant boy, so I'd do best as the only dog or with a submissive pal. As a Husky, I'm active and an escape artist, so a family knowledgeable about the breed is a must. We Huskies also shed a LOT, so be prepared for that! I'd love to escape the Texas heat and find a cooler climate – I hear AC is pretty great!

Ideal Home

A family knowledgeable about the Husky breed who can provide an active lifestyle. I'd do best as an only dog or with a submissive canine friend. I would love to live in a cooler climate.

I have successfully completed my heartworm treatment.

As a Husky, I am an active breed and known escape artists, so a secure yard and experienced owner are important.
