About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs but is estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, possessing an irresistibly quirky charm that brings laughter every day. Coraline adores playing peek-a-boo, waiting patiently to be noticed before showering her humans with happy zoomies. She's deeply people-oriented, following her foster family around like a shadow and showing affection through gentle puppy kisses or a paw resting on a leg. Her calm and balanced temperament makes her an excellent work-from-home companion, happy to entertain herself quietly on her dog bed. Coraline is social with people and other dogs, approaching new friends calmly before joining in play or exploration. She's the perfect combination of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – a true sidekick, shadow, and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline is looking for a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks to cozy evenings on the couch. She thrives when included in daily life and would love a family that appreciates her calm, affectionate nature. A fenced yard is a must for her to run and play. Due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas, she is not suited for apartments or condos. She needs to have another dog in her forever home, as she thrives with canine companionship. Older children and cats would also be welcome additions to her family. Coraline needs her human home most of the time, but a few days a week at doggy daycare would also be suitable. She is not suited for public dog parks.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and has been spayed, microchipped, and received flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has had a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has received any necessary vet care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still mastering leash walking and would benefit from additional practice to build her confidence. She alerts her foster when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door or can use a doggy door. A consistent potty schedule is recommended initially. She is treat-motivated, which will be a great asset in her continued training.
