Meet Bourbon!
Bourbon is a handsome boy who, like a good bourbon, may be a little reserved at first, but with time and patience, his warm and sweet personality starts to shine through. He is still learning to trust the world around him and can be nervous in new situations. Bourbon came to us alongside his mama and her newborn puppies after they had been living outside in a backyard and shed. His mama is a Chihuahua, and the neighbor’s scruffy white dog is said to be his dad, giving Bourbon his adorable unique look. Because of his past, he will need continued patience, understanding, and guidance while adjusting to life as a loved family member. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet boy who deserves the chance to finally relax, feel secure, and know what it means to be truly loved. Bourbon was born in May 2024.
Ideal Home
Bourbon finds comfort in the company of other dogs and enjoys following their lead. Having a confident canine companion in his forever home would help him continue building confidence and feeling secure. He is also considered a flight risk, so he will need a home committed to careful introductions, secure fencing, and extra precautions to help keep him safe while he continues gaining confidence.
Ongoing Health
Bourbon will receive a health exam and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption.
Training & Support
Bourbon will need continued patience, understanding, and guidance while adjusting to life as a loved family member. He is a flight risk and will need a home committed to careful introductions, secure fencing, and extra precautions.
