Licorice

Hi, I'm Licorice! I was born in May 2023 and I'm a mixed breed weighing around 50 lbs. I have a stunning black coat with a beautiful white star on my chest, just like my namesake candy. I was found abandoned with my littermates in East Texas and thankfully rescued by Cody's Friends Rescue and placed into a loving foster home. I'm still waiting for my forever family to find me! I love playing with my foster family, including Conway the pit bull/lab mix and Mia, a dog my age. My favorite color is green, as you can see from my collar!

Ideal Home

I'm an energetic pup who loves to play with squeaky toys, balls, and rope toys. I'm also a big chewer and need plenty of chew toys to keep me occupied, like yak sticks and chew hooves. While I enjoy playtime, I also love to relax on the couch for belly rubs when I'm tired. I do have a habit of digging in the garden and stealing socks, so a home where I can be crated when unsupervised would be best to prevent any mischief. I can be a bit overwhelmed by meeting new dogs and going to dog parks, so I would do best as an only dog or with one carefully selected canine companion.

I am fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

I'm house-trained and crate-trained. I do have a tendency to dig and steal socks, so using a crate when you're away is recommended.
