Meet Akira!

This sweet 5.5-year-old Staffordshire mix, weighing around 60lbs, was saved from a euthanasia list with only minutes to spare. After patiently waiting for nearly nine months with no adoption applications, she's hoping her perfect match will find her soon. Akira is a fully crate-trained girl who knows her basic commands and has the most endearing puppy-dog eyes. She dreams of a loving person to snuggle with and is a big love bug who believes she's a tiny lap dog. You'll often find her snoozing on a comfy dog bed until it's time for a walk. She listens well, follows commands, and takes treats with incredible gentleness. To keep herself entertained, she enjoys chewing on bones or playing with her stuffed toys.

Ideal Home

Akira adores people and enjoys the company of calm, submissive pups. She would also be content as the only dog in the home, as her ultimate dream is to be your one and only!

Training & Support

Akira is fully crate-trained and knows her basic commands. She is a responsive and gentle dog who takes treats kindly.

Transporation

Akira is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. She can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
