Josie is a sweet and loving companion for the whole family! This adorable Staffordshire Terrier mix, estimated to be born around October 26, 2023, and weighing about 41 lbs, is the perfect cuddle buddy for any occasion. Josie loves to play with her toys, snuggle with her foster siblings, sunbathe, and is even motivated by chicken nuggets! She has been living with children in her foster home and does wonderfully with them.
Josie has truly delighted her foster family by seamlessly acclimating. She is already potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows commands like "sit" and "stay." Being very treat-motivated, she is eager to learn, obey, and become a cherished part of your pack! She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially playful ones. Snuggling up on the couch is one of her favorite activities, and she's quick to catch a snooze there. While she enjoys sleeping on the couch or going for long walks, her absolute favorite activity is going on car rides – and she gets them often as she's such a perfect car-riding companion!
Josie was rescued from the county shelter, where she was sadly scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowding. She arrived at the shelter as a neglect case, emaciated and clearly having had a rough start. She has come a long way since then and, while still working on gaining a little more weight, she is ready to find her forever home.

Josie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be coordinated to various locations. Please be aware that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary and could be across city, county, or state lines. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You will have the ability to track your dog's transport via the Life360 app and receive updates.
