Meet Crosby!
Crosby is an 8-month-old, approximately 45-pound Catahoula mix who is bursting with energetic puppy joy and happiness. He's a confident, intelligent pup who loves people and has gotten along well with other dogs he's met. His wonderful Catahoula nature means he has a deep desire to please his humans, shower them with love, and be a cherished part of the family.
He's still a young fellow who will need guidance, training, and structure to grow into an amazing, well-mannered adult. Luckily, he's a very quick learner and is eager to soak up all sorts of new knowledge from a loving adopter like you! Crosby is energetic and adventurous without being overbearing, but he does require daily exercise, such as time in a large yard, playing with toys, or going for walks or hikes, to keep his mind and body stimulated. He also truly enjoys cuddling up by his human's side and taking frequent naps in the sun, either with you or with his canine pals.
While he has a great bark that will only improve with age, he plays surprisingly quietly with his friends, even during lively games of chase. If you have the time to spend with this adorable, very happy bundle of enthusiasm as he blooms from puppyhood into adulthood with a constant smile, Crosby will undoubtedly and almost instantly become your loyal, loving, and lifelong best friend.
Ideal Home
Because Crosby is still young, energetic, and learning the ropes of life and manners (like not jumping to say hello!), he would do best in a home without small children who he could accidentally knock over or scratch while playing. Crosby hasn't had direct experience with cats in his foster home, but he's watched them through windows with excited tail wags, showing curiosity rather than aggression. He would likely do well in a home with cats once he's a bit more mature, with a mindful, slow integration and after he has learned basic commands.
