Meet Aquila, a delightful 10-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a spirit ready for adventure! Aquila is the total package: affectionate, well-mannered, and incredibly smart. She’s a joy to work with, eager to please, and full of personality. While considered a senior, Aquila is far from slowing down. She loves long walks and hikes and would be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. She’s in great shape and is ready to hit the trails with you.

Ideal Home

Aquila would thrive in a home that embraces her adventurous spirit and provides plenty of opportunities for walks and hikes. Due to some challenges with other dogs, she would likely do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced adopter who can help her navigate social interactions with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Aquila is spayed, vaccinated, and in great shape for her age.

Training & Support

Aquila is well-mannered and appears to have had some training in her past, making her responsive and eager to learn. She does tend to be a bit pushy with other dogs, so continued work on her social skills is recommended. Aquila has also learned how to open lever-style door handles, though she doesn't appear to have any escape artist intentions.
