Reno

Reno is a 55-60 lb, approximately 2-year-old spayed female GSD mix who is energetic, fearful, anxious, but also incredibly affectionate. She absolutely adores a good belly rub and is a healthy girl who is up-to-date on her vaccinations. Reno was adopted from a municipal animal shelter in May 2021. She is a loving dog who has a lot of potential to blossom in the right home.

Ideal Home

Reno is shy with new people and will hide and bark when visitors arrive. She avoids people on walks and her current family isn't sure how she'd do with young children due to her timidness around adults. Reno has a strong prey drive and unfortunately cannot live with cats. She also dislikes being alone and will cry for long periods if left by herself.

Reno is healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Reno is house-trained and doesn't chew on things other than her toys. While she is crate-trained, she dislikes being crated at night. She has received some obedience training and is a fast learner who is motivated by treats. Reno can become a little nippy when excited on walks and may bark at her handler when startled by another dog. She gets overly excited in certain situations and can become mouthy when greeting her people. Reno is a "project dog" who needs help overcoming her fears and overexcitement.
