About Atlas Moose the Floppy Eared Goober

Atlas Moose is the kind of puppy that makes you laugh within the first five minutes of meeting him. Maybe it's the giant floppy ears, or his tail that's practically as long as the rest of him, or the fact that he can somehow detect a treat from what feels like three zip codes away. Whatever it is, this boy has personality for days. He's goofy, happy, affectionate, and still very much figuring out how to navigate life with those oversized puppy feet. Atlas is approximately 5 months old, weighs around 42 lbs, and we believe he may be a German Shepherd/Bloodhound mix. He's sweet, loving, curious, playful, and always ready to have a good time. One minute he's bouncing around playing with a toy and the next he's happily soaking up affection. He approaches life with the enthusiasm that only a puppy can have. Atlas is both a toy lover and a foodie, and his food motivation will make him a blast to continue training. He's eager to learn and already showing lots of potential, and he loves toys, especially balls. Atlas has met adult dogs and has done well with them, though he can come on a little strong at first with his excitement. He's still learning social skills, but he's already showing that he understands dog communication. Atlas is working on crate training and is doing great learning where the appropriate potty places are. Like any puppy his age, he'll need continued consistency, routine, and structure as he grows.

Ideal Home

Atlas would do best in a home with a backyard where he has room to run, play fetch, and burn off energy. He's going to need a family committed to training and socialization. He could do well as an only dog or with another medium to large dog that enjoys playful puppy energy.
