Toaster

Toaster is a 2.5-year-old dog with a unique charm and an irrepressible zest for life! He may have a "street-healed" spinal break that gives him a wobbly gait, but this has only strengthened his balance and coordination over time. He's even mastered short staircases with determination! Toaster's enthusiasm is infectious, and while he's still learning that not all humans appreciate a mouthy greeting, he's never aggressive. He absolutely loves to hold your forearm in his mouth, a quirk that has staff charmed! Despite his unique movement, Toaster is heartworm negative and has no other medical concerns. He seems to want to befriend other dogs, though his movements have been startling to some. Due to his occasionally jerky movements, he would be safest with older children.

Ideal Home

A home that can embrace his unique gait and provide a safe environment. Older children are recommended.

Training & Support

Toaster does well keeping his kennel tidy, so housetraining is expected to be a breeze. He is surprisingly mellow on a leash. He is still learning about appropriate greetings with humans.
