Ziva is a beautiful 3-year-old female Rottweiler who currently weighs 80 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to find her forever home. Ziva's previous owner sadly passed away, and she found herself living outside for several weeks before being rescued and placed in a loving foster home. She's a "slow burn" girl, meaning she needs time and patience to warm up, but her devotion is well worth the wait. Once she trusts you, Ziva is incredibly sweet, enjoying pets and even snuggling up close. She loves walks, playing, and relaxing, and she's a great traveler, enjoying car rides.
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for time to acclimate. She needs a home without children, as she can be sensitive to touch near her ears and tail, though she enjoys face pets once comfortable. While she has lived with cats and shown no aggression, she is curious and sometimes confused by them. She would prefer a home without another dog, or with an owner experienced in introducing dogs slowly and carefully. Ziva is reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and is microchipped and spayed.
Training & Support
Ziva exhibits some resource guarding and would do best if fed separately from other pets. She is a puller on leash and would benefit from continued leash training. While she is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house, she is not accustomed to being crated.
