Meet Stella! These are just her intake photos, and we're working on getting some better ones of this sweet girl.
Stella is estimated to be about 4 years old and is looking for her new forever home. She comes to us from a hoarding case where there were many husky mixes. Sadly, their owner passed away, and before that, he had some health issues that made it difficult to care for so many dogs. He truly loved them all, and they loved him back. These dogs are not your typical hoarding case dogs; they are all very sweet, well-mannered, and well-behaved. Stella is crate trained (she prefers a plastic crate over a wire one) and knows some basic commands. She also understands potty training, though we can't guarantee she won't have accidents in a new environment.
Ideal Home
Stella would thrive in a home with a securely fenced-in yard or with a family that will always keep her on a leash when outdoors. She would do best in a low-commotion, quiet home, potentially with a few doggie friends. We do not believe she would enjoy a home with children, as she can be a bit skittish and nervous.
Ongoing Health
Stella is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and has started on preventatives. She is currently a bit underweight but is slowly improving.
Training & Support
Stella can take a few minutes to warm up to strangers, but once she does, she's incredibly affectionate. We recommend a home with docile male dogs, as she does well with other dogs. However, she is not recommended for a home with cats, as she would likely chase them.
