Meet Elbridge Jr. (ACCT-A-252412)!

Elbridge Jr. is an approximately 4-year-old neutered male dog who was brought to the shelter as a stray by an Animal Protection Officer on 6/8. He is a resilient and gentle soul with a heart of gold. Despite a recent recovery after being hit by a car, Elbridge Jr.'s sweet and trusting nature has never wavered. Through it all, he has remained calm, cooperative, and eager to connect with the people around him.

Elbridge Jr. is the definition of a perfect gentleman. He is a low-energy companion who walks beautifully on a leash-even while navigating the world in a recovery cone. He is incredibly tolerant of handling and has charmed staff and volunteers alike with his soft expression, gentle demeanor, and easygoing personality. This sweet boy already knows how to "give paw" and is highly food-motivated, especially when cheese cubes or hot dogs are involved. He takes treats with remarkable gentleness and is always eager to please.

Elbridge Jr. has handled every step of his medical journey with grace and resilience. Now, he's hoping for a soft place to land where he can continue to heal, feel safe, and finally enjoy the love and stability he deserves.

They have been started on medication, and will be monitored for resolution of the respiratory infection.
