Hello there! I'm JJ, a wonderfully unique pup with the body of a German Shepherd, the sweetness of a Pittie, and the face of a Vizsla. I'm a goofy, gangly puppy who's all about making you happy! I may have journeyed from New Mexico, but I've absolutely fallen in love with the snow here. I enjoy lounging in it and chewing on sticks – though my foster mom wasn't too thrilled about having to rescue me from my stick-chewing adventures! I've learned that the outdoors is for more than just delicious sticks! I'm a good girl who will whine or get your attention when I need to go potty. I don't mind my kennel at all, but I do prefer to be with my people. If you give me something to chew on, like a Nylabone or Kong, I'll settle down for a nap while you're at work. It takes me a little while to warm up, but once I do, I give the sweetest kisses! The big, hairy guy in my foster home used to make me a bit nervous, but with his love, treats, and pets, I'm starting to adore him just as much as the lady of the house. A confident resident pup has also helped me realize that humans are pretty great! I hope to show a pup the ropes someday. With a bit more confidence, I know I'll be amazing! I absolutely LOVE to play and romp around outside – my zoomies after doing my business are apparently hilarious and make my foster parents giggle. When I'm proud of myself, I like to show it by high-stepping like a horse, and sometimes I even sound like one! Now, I'm just looking for my forever family. Could you give this red brindle beauty a chance at the best life ever? My photos don't do me justice; I'd love to meet you!
Ideal Home
I get a little nervous around the larger male dog in my foster home, but I am learning to trust him with the help of treats and positive reinforcement. I would likely do well in a home with a confident, resident dog who can show me the ropes.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
I am a good girl and learning to communicate my potty needs by whining or seeking attention. I also don't mind my kennel and can settle with chew toys. I do need a little time to warm up to new people and situations.
