Bernie

Bernie is a 2-year-old, medium-energy mix who is as sweet as can be! He's a friendly and outgoing boy, possibly a Flat-Coated Retriever mixed with a Bernese Mountain Dog. Bernie loves to play in his foster home's fenced yard and enjoys going for walks, where he walks nicely on a leash. He's also a great companion in the car! Bernie is a true love bug who adores attention and pets. After playtime, he calms down quickly and enjoys a good nap. While he gets very excited to see his foster mom when she returns, he's polite and doesn't jump on guests.

Ideal Home

Bernie would do best in a home where he has companionship for most of the day. He has done well with children 8 years and older. He is good with other dogs but not very interested in them. We don't know how he would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

Bernie is currently taking fish oil to help with some itchiness on his paws and neck.

Training & Support

Bernie is house-trained and comfortable in a restricted area. He walks nicely on a leash.
