About TEDDY

Teddy is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs 10 lbs. His DNA test shows he's a mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he was rescued, he was a matted mess and had to be shaved down. His coat has now grown back beautifully, and he's a very handsome boy who will need regular grooming.

Teddy also had mature cataracts in both eyes. After undergoing successful cataract surgery on both eyes and a period of recovery with eye medication, he now has excellent eyesight!

Teddy loves to be a lap dog and is always eager to snuggle with his foster. He gets along well with most other dogs, but he can be a bit grumpy with very active dogs who get in his face. We think he would be happiest as an only dog or with a calm, older canine companion. He is fairly well house-trained, though not perfect. Teddy walks well on a leash and absolutely loves car rides! He's sure to be a wonderful companion for someone.

Ideal Home

Teddy would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. He is not suited for homes with children under 8 years old. He also requires experienced dog owners.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now fully recovered with great eyesight.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He walks well on a leash.
