Bear is a handsome and confident gentleman with a big personality to match his substantial presence! Estimated to be just over one year old and weighing around 60 lbs, he's likely a pittie mix, but as always with rescue, breed and age are our best guess. Bear is a dog who is ready to learn and eager to engage, especially with a tasty treat in hand!
Bear truly shines when it comes to his people skills. He's loving, seeks connection easily, and will happily be part of your life, whether he's snuggling up close or just lounging nearby. He's already house and crate trained, and enjoys a good enrichment puzzle to keep his smart brain engaged.
Ideal Home
Bear would thrive in an active home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. While Bear showed curiosity and restraint with a cat, a dog-savvy feline friend and slow introductions would be essential.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy young dog.
Training & Support
As Bear is still in his energetic puppy phase, he'll need continued guidance on leash manners, especially when encountering other dogs. He can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic during play with other dogs, but he learns quickly and respects boundaries when clearly communicated, as he did with a feisty chihuahua in his foster home. Consistent handling and proper introductions will set him up for success.
