About Chance

Meet Chance!

Chance is a distinguished seven-year-old gentleman, a charming mix of Labrador Retriever and Rottweiler with a touch of other wonderful breeds. He weighs about 95 pounds and sports a handsome dark brown and tan coat. Chance's calm demeanor and striking eyes can bring a sense of peace to any day. He truly enjoys being part of a family, gets along famously with children, and loves nothing more than being close to his people. Whether he's resting at your feet, supervising kitchen activities from a respectful distance, or gently snoring in his crate, his steady companionship is a treasured gift.

Ideal Home

Chance thrives in a family environment where he can be an integral part of daily life. He enjoys being near his people and will happily settle in with you.

Ongoing Health

Chance has recently started thyroid medication, and the positive impact has been wonderful to see! He's more energized, playful, and engaged, with a renewed zest for life. His coat is also improving, with hair growing back on his tail, which is a reassuring sign that his treatment is helping him feel his best. He is up to date on vaccinations, and his transferable pet insurance can support his continued care. He also has extra dewclaws that require regular grooming.

Training & Support

Chance is house-trained and politely lets you know when he needs to go out. He settles very well when left alone. He benefits from clear boundaries and structured routines, especially around food, as he is very driven by his nose. He knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, stay, down, come, roll over, shake, go lay down, walk fast, and even “time for bed.” He enjoys relaxed daily walks and long 'sniffaris'.
