Big Mama

Big Mama is an affectionate, athletic, adventure-loving 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who enjoys going on walks and meeting new people! She was found weighing over 70lbs but is now at a healthier weight of around 60lbs. Big Mama was found in the middle of the road and saved by a couple, but unfortunately, their resident pup was not good with other dogs, and they had to take her to the shelter. Big Mama was placed on the euthanasia list, but through tireless networking, she was brought to safety. She is incredibly people-friendly and loves to cuddle. At times, she can be unaware of her size, especially when zooming around the yard! She loves to lounge indoors but is ready for gametime once she's outside.

Ideal Home

Big Mama would do best in a home with only male dogs, as she tends to be more assertive and dominant with other female dogs. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she does not need a canine sibling. Due to her energy level and being unaware of her size, she should ideally go to a home without young children.

Training & Support

Big Mama is potty and crate trained, knows "sit" and "shake," is very smart, and is good on a leash.
