Meet Sneezy! Some of you may remember him as one of the puppies from our Seven Dwarves litter. After being adopted as a puppy, Sneezy unfortunately found his way back to us when his owners abandoned him on the property and moved away. When he returned, he had very little training and a lot of pent-up energy, but thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, Sneezy has made incredible progress. In fact, multiple people who knew him before have commented that he's "a completely different dog now." Sneezy is extremely food motivated and eager to learn. He already knows sit and down, and we've been working on a focused heel with him. One of his most impressive qualities is how beautifully he walks on a leash—even on a 15-foot long line, he naturally stays close by and checks in with his handler. Sneezy has also been on several volunteer "field trips" and has done fantastic every time. He thrives with other playful dogs, though he can be a rough-and-rowdy playmate, so he'd do best with a dog who enjoys that style of play. While Sneezy previously struggled with some nipping behaviors, those issues have subsided and we have not seen them recently. However, because there may be a small amount of regression as he adjusts to a new home, we recommend a home without young children (kids 15+ are okay). We have a training plan ready to help his future family continue his success. Sneezy is a wonderful dog who simply needs someone willing to give him a chance, and we know the right person will see just how special he is.
