Hello there! My name is Grady, but you can call me Grady-baby, Gravy, Brady, or whatever fun name you dream up! I'm eight years young and have enough energy for a much younger pup, especially now that I know the sheer joy of couches, beds, snuggles, and, of course, toys! Oh, and did I mention French fries? They're pretty fantastic too. Honestly, everything about life is the best, and I'm so incredibly grateful to be here and to have experienced kindness. Now, I'm on the hunt for my forever home – could it be with you?
My journey to finding a loving home hasn't been the easiest. After a year of earning my trust, I was finally rescued. I had a broken pelvis, heartworms, intestinal parasites, was emaciated, and quite frankly, terrified of people. The amazing folks who saved me nursed me back to health, and I even went to a foster home. I was adopted by someone who seemed to understand my past, and for a while, I felt so loved and safe. Then, just a few days before Christmas in 2023, I was found abandoned, emaciated, and freezing on someone's doorstep. I had to be rescued all over again, and the team has promised me that I'll never have to experience human failure again. Thankfully, I landed with a wonderful foster mom, but I know I'd be even luckier with a family of my own.
Ideal Home
I'm a friendly guy who gets along with cats, dogs, and kids! I'm a medium-sized boy, though I've put on a little extra padding lately. I do require a tall, secure fence to keep me safe and sound. While I'm generally sweet, I can be a bit timid around some new men, so a gentle introduction will be key.
Ongoing Health
I've been through quite a bit, but I'm now healthy and ready for my forever! I've been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and am kept up-to-date on monthly prevention. I've also been cleared of heartworms.
Training & Support
I'm still learning the ropes of being a cherished pet, but I'm eager to please! With a little patience and lots of love, I know I'll continue to blossom.
