Meet Kenai, a brave and resilient 2-4 year old mixed breed with a heart full of love to give! Kenai's journey began with a difficult start; she was found as a stray dragging a chain and trap. Thankfully, she was safely rescued and rushed to the vet, where it was discovered she had severe injuries to her leg, necessitating amputation. Now a proud tripod, Kenai is adapting beautifully and showing incredible strength and spirit. Despite everything she's been through, she remains a sweet, gentle, friendly, and intelligent girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. We promised Kenai the best life, and we know she deserves a loving home to make that promise a reality.

Ongoing Health

Kenai is recovering from a leg amputation and is adapting to life as a tripod. She is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Like all rescue dogs, Kenai will benefit from continued training and socialization to help her flourish in her new home.

Transporation

Kenai is currently in South Carolina and transport to the Northeast is available weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. Local or virtual meet-and-greets are available with an application on file.
