Maggie

Meet Maggie, a sweet and scruffy 18lb ball of sass, believed to be just over a year old and possibly a Cairn Terrier mix. She's a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she's bouncy, waggy, and eager for attention. Maggie is a true terrier who enjoys playful companions and would likely do best with dogs who enjoy a good romp rather than those who prefer a more sedentary lifestyle. She's working on her housebreaking and training, and while she enjoys praise, she can be easily distracted by sights and sounds. Getting her zoomies out before training sessions seems to be the key to her focus. Once she knows you, Maggie can be quite feisty, so an active person who enjoys walking or playing in the yard might be her perfect match!

Ideal Home

Maggie would do best in a home with a fenced yard and with playful, active dogs. Homes with children over 12 years old should be suitable. She may play too rough for most cats.

Ongoing Health

Maggie has had her initial vet visit, vaccinations, 4DX tests, and flea/tick treatment. She has also been spayed.

Training & Support

Maggie is working on housebreaking and training. She can be easily distracted, so getting her energy out before training sessions is recommended. She enjoys praise and attention.

Transporation

Maggie is located in Adams, NY. Foster-to-adopt placements are limited to an 80-mile radius of Adams, NY, with pets requiring transport to our vet in Adams for continued care. Once fully vetted, up to a 150-mile radius is acceptable. Pets are not shipped and must be viewed in person.
