Meet Smokey! This handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix is ready to trade his stray days for a lifetime of love and belly rubs. Smokey is a smart and quick learner who is as affectionate as he is kind-hearted. He enjoys a good snuggle session on the couch, especially if it involves watching Gilmore Girls, but he's also up for a playful game of chase with his canine friends. Smokey walks wonderfully on a leash and has a low to moderate energy level, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back and easygoing dog. He's a total couch potato who's more than happy to hang out and relax with you all day!
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home without cats. Due to his shyness with new people, he would do best in a low-traffic home. He would also love a home with a doggie companion, as he enjoys playing with other dogs and is very submissive during play. Smokey would LOVE a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day, as he does have some separation anxiety. He would do best in a house rather than an apartment.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained. While he doesn't love being crated, he does use it to rest. He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but he is easily redirected. He does pull slightly when first encountering other dogs on walks but settles down quickly. If you're looking for a dog who will happily curl up beside you and provide gentle companionship, Smokey is your guy!
