Rudder - urgent

Rudder is a handsome, adult male dog with the look of a purebred Labrador. He was part of a litter that came to us a couple of years ago and found a loving home. Unfortunately, due to a court order, Rudder and his companion Tater must be adopted to a location that does not border the Commonwealth of Virginia. They had an incident where they chased their neighbor's goats, which tragically resulted in the goats dying of fright. While they didn't harm the goats, their owner has struggled to keep them contained, leading to several property boundary excursions. To avoid euthanasia, they urgently need a home outside our immediate area. We are listing them as a courtesy to their owner, hoping to find them a safe and loving placement. They are described as having excellent house manners and would make wonderful family companions.

Ideal Home

Rudder and his friend Tater need a home located outside of Virginia. Due to past incidents involving escaping and chasing livestock, a securely contained yard would be ideal to ensure their safety and prevent further issues.

Ongoing Health

Rudder is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Rudder has excellent house manners. However, his tendency to escape and chase animals means he needs a home that can provide secure containment and supervision to prevent future incidents.
