Baltos is a happy, adaptable puppy with a playful spirit and a sweet heart. He is a Labrador mix, approximately 9 months old and weighing about 20 lbs, expected to reach around 38 lbs as an adult. Baltos is social and gets along very well with other dogs, children, men, and women, making him a wonderful family companion. He can be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, but he warms up quickly and loves attention once he feels comfortable. Baltos is a well-rounded puppy who uses a crate, walks well on a leash, and lets you know when he needs to go outside to potty. He loves to play with his toys and entertain himself. Baltos is friendly, playful, and eager to learn, making him an excellent choice for a family looking for a loving and fun companion to grow with.
Ideal Home
Baltos would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a home with owners experienced in dog behavior and training, or who are willing to hire a trainer to help him reach his full potential. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Baltos has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. He has also had a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Baltos is not house-trained. Owners should understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience, understanding, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine are crucial for building trust and a strong bond.

- We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
- If approved, you’ll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
Transporation
Baltos is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. Our contracted transport company, based in Montana, will bring the pets across the border into Texas for US adoptions. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. You will receive real-time updates during the journey in a private Facebook Messenger group.
