This handsome chocolate Lab/Staffy mix is a big, strong hunk of a dog and the sweetest, squishiest love bug you've ever met. He has a happy pittie smile, soulful amber eyes, cute forehead wrinkles, and enough personality to keep you smiling every single day. Ernie is a fully potty trained and crate-trained dog who walks wonderfully on a leash and knows how to sit. He has fantastic house manners and has been living harmoniously with two other large dogs in his foster home. Ernie's absolute favorite thing in the world is his people. He's a lover through and through and enjoys being included in whatever his family is doing, whether it's sitting beside you or hanging out on the patio.
Ernie's greatest talent is the "sploot" – he elevates it to an art form, whether he's walking across the yard, playing outside, or just deciding what to do next. When he's not perfecting his signature move, he's usually carrying around one of his beloved stuffed toys, parading them around like priceless treasures. He's also a social butterfly with other dogs and loves to play chase, happily zooming around the yard with his doggy friends. When the zoomies are over, he's instantly in cuddle mode, happy to curl up beside you for a quiet evening or be a snuggly couch companion at night. Ernie was wonderful with children, showing how gentle he is.
