Frieda is a 2-year-old, approximately 48 lb, female Hound mix with a tan and white spotted coat. She's a survivor with a spirit that bursts through everything she does! Frieda was found injured and alone, but she fought for her life and found her way to safety. After undergoing FHO surgery, she's fully healed and ready to find her forever home. Frieda is full of personality – she's hilarious, expressive, and a little dramatic, always ready to "talk" with you or give you unforgettable facial expressions. She's a queen who enjoys her beauty rest and might "help" with laundry by relocating your shoes. Her foster lovingly calls her a "beautiful weirdo diva" – a one-of-a-kind soul who will keep you laughing. Despite her past, Frieda is incredibly loving and has a resilience that shines through. She's a comedian, a companion, and a heart waiting to belong.
Ideal Home
Frieda would thrive in a home with a yard where she can stretch out and enjoy life. She preferably needs a home with another dog, as she loves to play with other dogs, especially her foster brother Esa. She cannot live in an apartment.
Ongoing Health
Frieda had FHO surgery. She has some food envy and eats separately from other dogs due to past food insecurity.
Training & Support
Frieda is house-trained and walks beautifully on leash. She is not overly barky but will alarm bark as she is a hound. She is not destructive and rides well in the car. She is unsure about being crate trained.
