Markus Aurelius (New Digs)

Markus Aurelius, a handsome 70lb, 3-year-old blend of Pitbull, Bulldog, and German Shepherd, is a truly devoted and loving companion. He's a perfect mix of active and laid-back, enjoying outdoor adventures and zoomies, but equally content to relax in the sun or by your feet. Markus is a quiet observer, never barking even when other dogs are vocal, and he's perfectly fine being home alone without any destructive tendencies. He's always been good with cats, never chasing them and often dozing nearby. He doesn't beg for food and shows no food aggression, though he is an expert treat catcher! Markus is comfortable with all adults and older children, having grown up with a large extended family. He's also unfazed by construction workers on his property. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "stay."

Ideal Home

Markus would thrive in a home where he can be close to his humans. Consideration should be given to homes without very small children, as he has shown stress when grabbed or pulled by a toddler. He's good with other dogs and cats, and has adapted to both large and small yards.

Ongoing Health

Markus is housebroken, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and in perfect health. He does have a fear of fireworks.

Training & Support

Markus knows basic commands. An isolated incident where he bit a goat who stuck its head through a fence is noted, likely an instinctive reaction to the goat's scream.
