Hank

Hank is about 3 years old and a charming, albeit timid, boy. He was brought to us from a shelter in West Virginia where he was facing euthanasia. Hank is fantastic with other dogs and truly thrives in their company, finding security and comfort with his canine friends. He's a gentle soul who was initially terrified of people and leashes, showing signs of past abuse. However, Hank has made incredible progress and is now walking on a leash, a feat he is very proud of! He's currently living in a boarding kennel and doing well, but he's dreaming of a temporary or forever home. Hank weighs about 30 lbs and is absolutely worth the effort.

Ideal Home

Hank would do best in a quiet, low-key home with at least one other dog to help him feel secure. A home where people can work with him slowly and gently is essential. Precautions must be taken to ensure he doesn't run out an open door if scared.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are noted, but Hank may need some work on housetraining and general house manners.

Hank is making great progress with his fear of people and leashes but will need continued patience and gentle guidance. He will likely need work on housetraining and house manners.
