Lucrecia is a sweet and spirited 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, weighing around 33 lbs and standing 22 inches tall. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and after a challenging start where it took time to gain her trust, she's blossomed into an affectionate, playful, and very active dog. Lucrecia's front paw was injured but has since been treated successfully. She loves playing with her foster siblings and is now in a safe environment, no longer having to worry about finding food or shelter.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. She would do best with a family experienced with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and who has a deep understanding of the needs of rescued street animals. A family with experience in dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for a rescued pup, would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained and will require consistent training and patience in her new home. The rescue organization emphasizes that due to the large number of animals they care for, they are unable to house-train each one.
