Winter is a 3-year-old mixed-breed masterpiece with a silky-soft coat and an even softer heart. He truly loves everyone and has lived successfully with dogs of all sizes, cats, and children. Winter greets new people as if they've been friends forever. He's the kind of dog who happily joins you for a car ride, strolls politely on a leash, and then curls up beside you for a snuggle at the end of the day. In fact, Winter may just be the world's biggest cuddle bug. Perfectly house-trained and eager to be close to his people, Winter is a classic velcro dog; he just wants to be doing whatever you're doing, with you.
His story is a bittersweet one. As a puppy, Winter was found as a stray and welcomed into a loving family who made him one of their own. For three wonderful years, he knew nothing but love. Then tragedy struck when his human dad unexpectedly passed away. As the family navigated immense loss and hardship, they were forced to sell their home and move into housing governed by an HOA. Heartbreakingly, Winter wasn't allowed to come with them. The decision to rehome him was made entirely out of necessity, not lack of love. His family remains heartbroken, and Winter has understandably been confused by all the changes. Yet through it all, he has remained the sweet, resilient boy he's always been. Winter has settled beautifully into his foster home and continues to prove what an adaptable, loving companion he is.
Ideal Home
Winter enjoys the company of other animals but is confident enough to thrive as an only dog, too. He doesn't need a canine sibling, a big yard, or any special accommodations. His only requirement is love.
Ongoing Health
Winter is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He's healthy, happy, and ready for his next chapter.
