Chappy

Chappy is a big, fluffy, and incredibly happy Saint Bernard/Husky mix with a sparkling personality. He was found on the streets of Texas with a severe front limb injury, which made him vulnerable and unable to receive proper care at the local pound. After being rescued, Chappy's journey involved extensive efforts to help him walk more comfortably, including consultations with specialists and attempts at custom-made braces and prosthetics. Despite these efforts, Chappy decided he'd had enough of the medical procedures and prefers to live his life freely. He adores people of all kinds and easily wins over everyone he meets.

Ideal Home

Chappy would thrive in a home where he can be the only canine citizen, as other dogs make him a bit nervous. He should not go for long walks, but he enjoys being in large yards. He cannot live with cats.

Ongoing Health

Chappy has a significant front limb injury. While various medical interventions were attempted, he is now living his life as he is. The long-term ability to walk is uncertain, but he is a resilient and happy boy.

Training & Support

Chappy is leash-trained and enjoys his time in the yard. He has been through a lot and is ready for a home where he can simply be himself.
