Betty is a sweet 8-10 year old girl who absolutely adores people. She is happy and excited to meet everyone she encounters. Betty is currently in foster care in South Carolina and has adjusted well to living with multiple dogs after proper introductions. She enjoys playtime with her canine companions, even at her age. Betty has not been tested with cats and has no experience living with small children. She would likely thrive in a calm environment where she can receive plenty of attention and love from her person. Betty loves car rides and simply being by your side!
Before coming into rescue, Betty endured a difficult life. She was found by animal control with a chain so heavy it had caused raw sores on her neck. She was kept chained to an enclosed trailer, with her only shelter being to crawl underneath during storms or cold weather. It was evident she had been overbred. Despite her past hardships, Betty showed incredible excitement when people arrived to rescue her from such terrible living conditions.
Her foster mom describes Betty as a dog who wants to be her person's "everything." She envisions Betty enjoying cozy nights watching TV, playing fetch, sleeping next to her human, and going on adventures in the car. The moment she sees keys, she's ready at the door! Betty truly deserves a loving home and a person to cherish. You'll be so glad to be a part of the happiness she will finally know, and don't be surprised if she ends up rescuing you in return!
We are excited to offer a special senior dog program to help wonderful older dogs like Betty find their forever homes.
